A great kitchen is the center of a great home — and in Danville, where quality living is the standard, the bar for what a kitchen remodel should deliver is exceptionally high. Ridgecrest Designs brings a luxury design-build approach to every kitchen project we take on: integrated design, photo-realistic renders before a single cabinet is ordered, and hands-on management from first meeting through final walkthrough.
Danville is one of the most sought-after communities in the East Bay — known for its tree-lined streets, top-ranked schools, and estate properties that reflect the refined sensibility of its residents. Danville homeowners are discerning buyers who expect precision, process, and results that reflect their investment.
Our kitchen remodel projects start at $150,000 and are designed for homeowners who want the full picture before construction begins. That means custom cabinetry designed around your workflow, appliances specified to your cooking style, lighting that performs as beautifully as it looks, and finishes — countertops, backsplash, flooring — selected with the whole space in mind, not in isolation.
Scope of Work
Every project is different — but every Ridgecrest project includes full design-build management, photo-realistic renders before construction begins, and a single point of accountability from first meeting to final walkthrough.
Kitchen remodel projects with Ridgecrest Designs start at $150,000. We work best with homeowners ready for a comprehensive transformation — not a surface-level refresh.
Our Work in Danville
A Real Danville Kitchen
The Danville Hilltop project began with a mid-century home in the hills above town — strong bones, an outdated kitchen that no longer matched how the owners lived. Rather than chase a trend, our design-build team reworked the space around the home's mid-century character: clean lines, honest materials, and storage that disappears into the architecture.
The defining move was a wall of hand-fabricated steel storage built specifically for this kitchen, paired with custom cabinetry and an iconic blue-and-walnut contrast that gives the room its identity. Because design and construction lived under one roof, the steelwork, cabinetry, and finishes were coordinated to the millimeter — no gap between what was drawn and what was built.
As with every Ridgecrest project, the owners saw photo-realistic renders of the finished kitchen before demolition began — the palette and the steel storage wall were confirmed on screen, not discovered on site. See the full Danville Hilltop project →
Permitting in Danville
Most Danville kitchen remodels need a permit. The Town of Danville Building Division requires permits for structural changes — removing or altering a load-bearing wall — and for electrical, plumbing, gas, and mechanical or ventilation work. Purely cosmetic finish work — refacing cabinets, new flooring, or paint — often doesn't, though replacing countertops can itself trigger a permit, so we confirm the scope up front.
That distinction matters, because the kitchens worth doing well usually involve moving a wall, relocating plumbing, or adding circuits — exactly the work that triggers a permit. As an integrated design-build firm, we prepare and submit the plans, manage the Building Division's review, and schedule every inspection, so you're never the one chasing the permit counter.
Investment
Full design-build kitchen remodels with Ridgecrest in Danville start at $150,000 and scale with scope. A refined pull-and-replace with premium materials sits at the lower end; opening up a wall, relocating plumbing, custom cabinetry, and structural work moves it up from there. We're built for serious, high-quality projects — not the lowest bid — and you'll get a clear, honest number tied to your actual scope before any commitment.
Danville Kitchen Remodel FAQ
